Hello, May!

When I was in elementary school my mom and bonus dad starting calling me Bean. I think it was a nickname that came from some teasing at school and it just stuck. At 41, they still write Bean in my cards (and I love it). Nicknames have a special place in my heart – especially when there is a story to tell behind them.

In our family we all have nicknames. They are one way we show our affection and tease about the quirky things that make each of us who we are. My husband calls me Peach and the kids call me the No Fun Police. I roll with it (and sometimes wear my badge proudly). During the month of May I will dedicate each weekly blogpost to one of our kids (and use their nicknames). So stay tuned for some silly & special adventures about my four favorite little humans.
